Pasting Gum

'Balasanka Pasting Gum' is an high adhesive pasting gum available in two grades (instant cold water soluble and hot water soluble). It is specially developed for use in the high speed paper gluing making boards having the advantages of consistent and high gsm, high strength boards making with high self life of paste.

It is made of special adhesive grade starch with a special mix of additives and suitable adhesive strength yielding catalysts. It is partially hydrolyzed starches that are prepared by roasting in the presence of different catalysts. This modification reaction reduces the large chemical molecular structure into simple molecular form yielding adhesive characteristics and with maintained viscosity.

It is an innovative technology first of its kind in the corrugation industry equipped and developed from intense research and development projects. It delivers very good results and characteristics from various grades of paper from low to very high paper quality specifications (low to very high gsm grades).

Specialty is evident from the strength and rigid stiffness of the finished ply board just after pasting and on completion of full box making. No stirring is required and ready to use immediately on mixing with cold water. Hot water soluble grade is also available on request.

'Balasanka Pasting Gum' to water ratio may however, be changed to ensure required viscosity depending on the gsm, quality of paper and single facer or double backer bonding.

Note

• Take care that the Balasanka corrugation / solution should never be mixed with pasting gum powder/ solution and vice versa.
• While preparing the gum solution, add gum powder to water and not water to gum powder to avoid lump formation.
